Merry Christmas (belated)

We celebrated Christmas on the 24th rather than the 25th this year because I had to work today. The 24th was a floating holiday for the Emperor's birthday (the 23rd). Working on Christmas.. Sheesh.

On another note, I'm raising an avocado. It's been a couple months since I initially sprouted the seed, and it's finally getting somewhere. It was stymied for a couple weeks because Julian knocked the original sprout off the seed, but in the words of Jeff Goldblum in Jurrasic Park, life finds a way. The new sprout is growing out of the side of the broken stem. The only worry I have is that the stem will not be strong enough to support a full-grown tree.

Hillarity

Whether Hillary wins or loses in the primaries, I think we can look forward to a slew of Fark headlines claiming either "Hillary ensues" or "Hillary does not ensue". God forbid she make it to the general election, because there will be another year of that sort of idiocy.

I can't even imagine how much Hillarity will ensue if she wins the Presidency.

For the sake of Fark readers who don't particularly like the "hilarity ensues" cliche, please remove her from the running as early as possible.

Thanks.
